چکیده
In this paper, we report the significance of double Stokes–Mueller polarimetry (DSMP) technique, to characterize a large size (3×3×5mm) Potassium titanyl phosphate (KTP) crystal. The crystal undergoes second harmonic generation with type II phase matching. study standard KTP using DSMP technique helps validate efficiency technique. We were able extract crystal’s Mueller matrix, relative contribution susceptibility tensor components, difference between etc. could determine axes orientation optical which was not possible through single X-Ray diffraction for such both optic and crystallographic are same. Axes direction determined from polarization microscope measurements Laue on is compared those obtained measurements.

Double-pass axially resolved confocal Mueller matrix imaging polarimetry.
We present experimental depth-resolved complete polarization-sensitive measurements of a stack of linear retarders and glass plates by using what is to the best of our knowledge the first combination of a confocal imaging system with a complete Mueller matrix polarimeter. The axially resolved Mueller matrices were compared with a forward simulation, with good agreement.

We characterized two samples consisting of photoresist layers on silicon with square arrays of square holes by spectroscopic ellipsometry (SE) and Mueller matrix polarimetry (MMP). Hole lateral dimensions and depths were determined by fitting either SE data taken in conventional planar geometry or MMP data in general conical diffraction configurations. A method for objective determination of th...
متن کاملTime-resolved switching analysis of a ferroelectric liquid crystal by snapshot Mueller matrix polarimetry.
An experimental snapshot Mueller matrix polarimeter based on wavelength polarization coding is used to get a time-resolved description of electric-field-induced fast transition within a ferroelectric liquid-crystal cell. The parameters extracted from experimental Mueller matrices are linked to the molecule director distribution to further determine the average trajectory and the collective beha...
متن کاملMueller-Stokes characterization and optimization of a liquid crystal on silicon display showing depolarization.
In this paper we characterize the polarimetric properties of a liquid crystal on silicon display (LCoS), including depolarization and diattenuation which are usually not considered when applying the LCoS in diffractive or adaptive optics. On one hand, we have found that the LCoS generates a certain degree (that can be larger than a 10%) of depolarized light, which depends on the addressed gray ...
متن کاملImaging linear polarimetry using a single ferroelectric liquid crystal modulator.
In the field of polarimetry, ferroelectric liquid crystal cells are mostly used as bistable polarization rotators suitable to analyze crossed polarizations. This paper shows that, provided such a cell is used at its nominal wavelength and correctly driven, its behavior is close to that of a tunable half-wave plate, and it can be used with much benefit in lightweight imaging polarimetric setups....
